Van Parts – Citroen Just Made the Berlingo More Efficient!

April 9th, 2012

The six most fuel efficient Berlingos have just had that extra something special added to them – a new e-HDi Airdream micro-hybrid drivetrain to be precise! The drivetrain consists of stop/start technology and regenerative braking which allows it to make use of energy which would have otherwise been lost during braking. The diesel engine (Euro5 HDi 90) develops 90hp at 4000rpm. So what does this mean for Citreon’s customers? Well, even more cost savings for one, now with a combined cycle consumption of 57.6mpg. The environment also benefits, with CO2 emissions now as low as 126g/km, putting it in environmental band D. The new Berlingo will reach 0 to 60 mph in 12.8 seconds.

Of course one of the huge benefits of a Berlingo is the space -it’s flexible enough to be your family saloon and your small van when you need that extra bit of space. The Berlingo defines adaptability, giving plenty of room for your equipment, work and hobbies… such as a set of golf clubs perhaps?! There are useful, easy access storage spaces everywhere and with a huge windscreen, it maximises light and space. If you’re in need of a temperature-controlled, refrigerated van, due to your business needs, known as a chiller, cooler, fridge or freezer van, then Citroen Berlingos that are fully-fitted, kitted-out and ready for this use are available.

What Luxury Items To Add To Your Caravan?

April 9th, 2012

To many, camping and caravanning is a very unglamorous way to spend a holiday. But with all the luxury items now available for our caravans, this is not necessarily the case anymore. What items can you add to your RV to make your next holiday more luxurious?

  • Television and/or DVD player
These are some of the most highly requested items for caravans today, especially if you are going to be travelling with children. Most new caravans will come with a wide screen high definition television and a basic DVD player installed, but if you have an older model it is very easy to plug a television into a spare power point.
  • Satellite dish
For those people who want television reception wherever they happen to be travelling, installing a satellite dish in your caravan is the perfect solution. Not only will this give you access to all the various free-to-air channels, you will be able to watch your favourite shows on cable television.
  • CD player or sound system
If you are sick of having to play your music through your car or a dodgy battery operated radio, perhaps a CD player or sound system is what you need to install in your caravan. Most new models will come with one already installed, but if not it is very easy to add a basic CD player to your caravan cupboard.
  • BBQ
While most caravans come equipped with a basic kitchen of sorts, and most caravan parks have fire pits and public BBQ’s, sometimes you want nothing more than your own BBQ to cook on. Some new caravans will come with BBQ’s built into the sides, you just have to pull them out when you want to use them, but if yours doesn’t why not invest in a high quality portable BBQ?
  • Air conditioning
The installation of air conditioning is not just restricted to our homes anymore – it is now possible to install an air conditioning unit in our caravans. With a range of models and styles available, it is possible to find a unit to fit and suit any caravan, allowing you to holiday in cool conditions all year round.
